Beautiful small high Sierra lake. Rainbow and an abundant amount of large Browns. Great lake for float tube. Shore reeds fairly heavy around the shoreline. Go to the NE end of the lake on the rocks, very nice. Browns below.

    Do stop by Cora Lakes while you're in this part of California. That right there is a heap of entertaining things already but it goes on, the Central Sierra Nevada has it all. Cora Lakes is good enough to spend more than a day at, Granite Creek Campground is a good local campground, and a great nearby hotel is Heidelberg Inn. This lake is so wonderful. The John Muir Trail - section 1 is a perfect hiking trail near Cora Lakes, and you can hit the slopes at June  
   Mountain in close proximity.
If you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on San Joaquin River - Middle Fork; everybody loves Bugg Meadow. Cora Lakes gets a typical amount of rain; during the month of January you get the most rain around here, and the driest month is June. While you're here at Cora Lakes you can take a hike along the John Muir Trail - section 2, and not far from Cora Lakes you'll discover Lily
 
               Lake which is a gorgeous lake.
This lake is so wonderful. A perfect site to check out near Cora Lakes is The Niche, and camping at Clover Meadow Campground is always a pleasant experience. Summer at Cora Lakes comes with high temperatures in the 90's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are frequently in the 40's; night lows all through the winter for Cora Lakes tend to be in the 20's. This lake is one of the great places here in the Central Sierra Nevada.
So many amusing things in the neighborhood of Cora Lakes, just tremendous. San Joaquin River has a great whitewater paddling spot nearby, and there are other sites here than Cora Lakes, for example Lost Lake. You'll beyond doubt wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining stuff in the Central Sierra Nevada. If the weather is tremendous here at Cora Lakes, you can go for a hike along the Gaylor Lakes Trail; Snowbird Condos at Mammoths Canyon Lodge is a tremendous place to get some rest.
