Mokelumne River has a wonderful whitewater paddling spot nearby, and Lake Tulloch RV Campground and Marina is a good local campground. Summer brings highs in the 90's to Copperopolis Reservoir. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 50's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Copperopolis Reservoir temperatures plunge to the 30's. Lakes? Sure, Salt Spring Valley Reservoir is nearby. Around Copperopolis Reservoir you don’t get a lot of rain; all through the month of January you get the most rain around here; July is the month with the least moisture. Hicks Spring
is a good local attraction. This lake is so wonderful. If you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Stanislaus River; if you need a place to stay Angels Inn Motel is a great choice.
