     This lake is one of the great places here in the Southern Cascade Range. Get your pulse rate up on the great whitewater of Jenny Creek, and Bloomingcamp Peak is clearly visible from Copco Lake. For the period of the long summer days at Copco Lake highs are regularly in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's while the cold winter nights at Copco Lake are in the 20's.
Copco Lake is pretty
 
   dried out usually; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most rain, and July meanwhile is the driest month. If you want a good time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Southern Cascade Range. Beaver Creek is a delightful stream that is worth a visit, and a great place to camp here at Copco Lake is Bear Canyon Campground. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Lithia Springs Resort And Gardens is a perfect choice; Copco  
               Lake is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Camp Creek Campground is a pleasant local campground.
Don't leave Copco Lake without first checking out Klamath Rim, and you're in all probability keen on lakes, Fall Creek Reservoir is one of those nearby. So much entertaining stuff to do at Copco Lake, so little time. A magnificent spot for whitewater paddling close to Copco Lake is Klamath River, and if you've had enough of Copco Lake, Ling Reservoir is nearby. These mountains rock, just look at all the fun things to do in the Southern Cascade Range. A glorious close by hotel is Holiday Inn Express YREKA-SHASTA AREA.

You have got to be kidding. IV-V+???!!!!!! Has someone really run the falls? You make it sound like a like just any old run. It can only be run at the few times there is enough water and for a large part of the run, barb wire, willow thickets in the channel and recluses with shotguns are the main obstacles. Only the last few miles has whitewater of note and it is challenging. I ran this section in the mid eighties and claim along with my buddies Kent Erskine and Max Linn a first descent....

If you can ski Mt. Ashland, you can ski anywhere, is a boast locals in southern Oregon have made for 45 years. It is true; Mt. Ashland offers plenty of adventure for both skiers and riders. The ski area is located about a half an hour drive from the charming town of Ashland, home to the world renowned Oregon Shakespeare Festival. At 7,500 feet, Mt. Ashland is the highest point in the Siskiyou mountain range. Its north facing slopes collect an average 300 inches of snowfall annually. The ski area offers 23 trails in addition to chute skiing and boarding in its famous bowl. All trails are easily accessed by 4 chairlifts. Twilight skiing on 10 runs is scheduled Thursday through Friday evenings beginning in late-December. The mountain prides itself on a warm and friendly atmosphere.
