A brilliant place to camp here at Cooksley Lake is Bothe Napa Valley State Park, and get dripping wet paddling on Putah Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes? Sure, Deer Lake is in close proximity. Camping is available at Ritchey Creek Campground; if the weather is nice, you can go for a hike along the Bald Mountain Trail. Yeah, come here to Cooksley Lake for a perfect time. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Napa River, and on a delightful day you obtain a

Cooksley Lake is a good spot of normal precipitation; January is the month that gets the most rain while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Throughout the summer months highs here at Cooksley Lake get into the 90's, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are regularly in the 50's; winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Cooksley Lake. | |

For you golfers we recommend close by Aetna Springs Golf Course, and you'll meet a lot of folks from Napa here. Dry warm beds await you at Calistoga Ranch, and Walnut Flat is a perfect place. This lake is so wonderful. If you
need a site to stay Ambrose Bierce House is a good choice, and there are other locations here than Cooksley Lake, for example Doe Lake.
