There's so much to do here at Cook Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, San Clemente State Beach is a nice spot for that, and if you're here you can take a hike along the San       Juan Trail. This lake is so wonderful. On a pleasant day at Cook Reservoir you can take a hike along the Clark Trail; you might also want to pay a visit to Deep Canyon if you're here at Cook Reservoir. During the months of summer here at Cook Reservoir, high temperatures mostly get into the 80's while overnight lows are commonly in the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 60's with temperatures at Cook Reservoir dipping down into the 40's                  during winter nights.
