Conness Lakes is located in the Central Sierra Nevada. Having a magnificent time at Conness Lakes is simple. Don't leave Conness Lakes without first going for a hike along the John Muir Trail - section 1; a fine nearby hotel is Heidelberg Inn. So many fun things to do in the Central Sierra Nevada, not sufficient time. There are fine locations to look at along the Pacific Crest       Trail - section 12, and if you want a little side trip, try Lundy Pass. This lake is so wonderful. Get soaked paddling on Tuolumne River, and if you need a place to stay Yosemite Gateway Motel is a tremendous choice. Not much precipitation falls here at Conness Lakes; the wettest month of the year is usually January, that's the one that snows the most; the driest month of the year is October. Here at Conness Lakes you can distinguish Mount Conness, and                  you'll discover a charming lake called Alpine Lake. This location, the Central Sierra Nevada, has so much outdoors fun things. If you're here at Conness Lakes, checking out Conness Glacier is a must; Saddlebag Campground is a delightful campground here. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Gaylor Lakes Trail is always a tremendous adventure; hey, Gotta ski right? June Mountain is a pleasant site to do that. For the duration of the summertime here at Conness Lakes, high temperatures regularly get into the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 30's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's with temperatures at Conness Lakes dipping down into the 0's through winter nights.
