Get yourself into a kayak and hit Battle Creek; if you need a place to stay Baymont Inn & Suites Anderson is a wonderful choice. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Bear Creek offers some fine whitewater, and Coleman Forebay is a great place to visit for more than one day, Red Bluff RV Park is a great place to camp nearby. The O'Nite Park is located 3/4 mile east of Red Bluff near the Sacramento River just west of I-5. Convenient to Red Bluff stores and restaurants, O'Nite Park is a perfect jumping off point for side trips to white water and other Tehama County recreation areas. The Sacramento River and Reeds Creek are nearby. Sixteen miles away, Antelope Creek features a glorious whitewater paddling spot. Bidwell Mansion State Park is well worth a trip, or you might opt for getting drenched paddling on Cottonwood Creek which feeds into to the South Fork of the Klamath River. If you prefer golf you can head to the Oak Creek Golf Course...just two miles from O'Nite. There are lots of choices. Everyone loves the Woodsen State Park and along Battle Creek, the whitewater paddling is terrific. In Summer, temperatures at the O'Nite Park reach the 90's with nighttime lows in the 60's. High temperatures during winter are normally in the 50's with nighttime lows sometimes dropping into the 30's. Rain is sporadic between mid-October and April.
