Why not stop by Coburn Lake if you're passing through these parts. This lake is so wonderful. The yearly rain here at Coburn Lake is about average; the wettest month of the year is commonly January, that's the one that rains the most; the driest month of the year is July. Coburn Lake is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Yubas Pass Campground is a brilliant local campground, and you can go for a hike on the Mount Lola Trail.
This lake is so wonderful.

| | Get yourself into a kayak and hit Fordyce Creek, and everybody close by loves skiing at Soda Springs. This lake is located in the wonderful Northern Sierra Nevada. A glorious place to go to right next door to Coburn Lake is Maiden Valley, and Hoyfjellet Lodge is a wonderful place to get some rest.
So much enjoyable stuff in close proximity to Coburn Lake, absolutely mind-boggling. The skiing at Royal Gorge is delightful, and glide down the rapids of Yuba | |

River - South Fork in a kayak. Summertime highs at Coburn Lake ordinarily tend to be in the 90's. Summer nighttime lows sink down to the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's, and night lows in the 20's for Coburn Lake. There's
no way anyone can get bored here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Good hiking is available along the Cottonwood Botanical Trail, and camping at Lincoln Creek Campground is always a nice experience.
So many exciting things to do
in the Northern Sierra Nevada, not sufficient time. After a long day outdoors Shinneyboo Creek Cabin Resort is a nice location to spend a night or two, and going for a hike on the Haskell Peak Trail is always a perfect adventure.
