Barton Lake is a nearby lake that you could take a look at, and Drop Rock is clearly visible from Cloak Lake. This lake is so wonderful. The snow is pleasant at Mount Shasta, and you can have a fine hiking adventure along the Sisson Calahan National Recreation Trail. Around Cloak Lake you don’t get a lot of rainfall; the       month of December is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is July. Camping at Cove Mobile Villa is always a wonderful experience, and a lake nearby is Salt Lake. Cloak Lake truly is in the middle of a beautiful outdoors paradise. If you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Shasta River, and a brilliant nearby hotel is Quality Inn & Suites Weed. For the duration of the summer at Cloak Lake temperatures                  are mostly in the 90's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's; after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Cloak Lake plunge into the 20's.
