In California there are many beautiful lakes, Cliff Lake is one of them. This lake is so wonderful. One of the best things about Cliff Lake is its proximity to Lester Beach; you can have a glorious hiking adventure along the General Creek Trail. If you need a place to stay The Truckee Hotel is a wonderful choice; you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Sierra at Tahoe while you're here. And that's not all you can do here at Cliff Lake. You get a good panorama of Jakes Peak from Cliff Lake, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 14. Summertime at Cliff Lake comes with high temperatures in the 70's with nighttime lows in the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's, and after the sun is down during the winter
temperatures at Cliff Lake drop into the 10's. That right there is a lot already, but it keeps on going; Cliff Lake has it all. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend American River - South Fork;
after a long day outdoors Pine Cone Acre Motel is a perfect place to spend a night or two. Stony Ridge Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop at, and lovely scenery and great skiing is what you acquire at Homewood.
Spend the
day on the beach at Calawee Cove Beach if you're here at Cliff Lake, and a lake nearby is Phipps Lake. So many enjoyable things to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada, not enough time. If you adore the outdoors you'll adore it here in
the Northern Sierra Nevada. A good spot to explore close to Cliff Lake is Phipps Pass; while you're here you will meet lots of people from close by Gardnerville Ranchos.
