    The beauty of Clarence King Lake is reason enough to stop by. Through the long summer days highs here at Clarence King Lake get into the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 40's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 40's, and night lows in the 20's for Clarence King Lake. All year is a perfect time in the Southern Cascade Range if you go for the outdoors. What would a location like Clarence King Lake be without interesting nearby characteristics  
   like Bolam Glacier, and if you need a place to stay The Woodsman Hotel is a magnificent choice. If the weather is wonderful here at Clarence King Lake, you can go for a hike along the Sisson Calahan National Recreation Trail.
This lake is so wonderful. A pleasant trip to Hidden Valley is a nice way to spend an afternoon, and going for a hike along the Castle Lake Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. After a long day outdoors Strawberry
 
               Valley Inn is a brilliant place to spend a night or two, and Mount Shasta is a good local ski area. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining stuff in the Southern Cascade Range. Coquette Falls is a magnificent local attraction, and the vista of Misery Hill is lovely.
Clarence King Lake gets a typical amount of yearly rain; January is when you get the most rain here, and July is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. There's whitewater on Sacramento River for all you adrenaline people, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Crags Trail. Helen Lake is a great lake in the vicinity of Clarence King Lake, and McBride Springs Campground is a perfect local campground.
This lake is located in the wonderful Southern Cascade Range. And if that's not sufficient, there's loads more to do in the vicinity of Clarence King Lake. Lakes? Sure, Sisson Lake is in the vicinity; why not camp at Panther Meadows Campground if you're here at Clarence King Lake.

While it was not anything special or out of the ordinary, the staff was friendly and accomodating and the atmosphere was very family friendly. I would suggest Fowlers to any family wanting just a nice vacation together, but if you are a camping enthusiast and are used to having high standards for your camping experience, you may want to search around a bit more before you decide to stay at Fowlers as it may be a bit more mediocre than what you are used to camping at. ...
