The Southern Sierra Nevada scenery is always beautiful. Just can't get enough of Cirque Lake. After a long day outdoors Best Western Frontier Motel is a great location to spend a night or two, and the vista of Cirque Peak is gorgeous. Cirque Lake is a tremendous location to camp, Locust Grove Campground is a tremendous location, and you can have a pleasant hiking adventure along the Mount       Whitney Trail. Big Cottonwood Meadows is a good location to check out, and you're probably interested in lakes, Chicken Spring Lake is one of those nearby. Through the warmest time of the year at Cirque Lake temperatures are usually in the 90's. All through the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 60's. Highs through the wintertime are typically in the 50's with temperatures at Cirque Lake dipping down into the 20's all through winter nights. This lake is so                  wonderful. Comfort Inn Lone Pine is a fine location to get some rest; camping at Cirque Lake is wonderful fun, Tuttle Creek Campground is a wonderful local campground. So many exciting things to do in the Southern Sierra Nevada, not enough time. Army Pass is a pleasant location to visit nearby. Cirque Lake gets very little rainfall; the month of January is the wettest with most of the rain, and October on the other hand is the driest. This location, the Southern Sierra Nevada, has so much outdoors entertaining stuff.
