Just can't get enough of the Southern Sierra Nevada. Why not camp at Locust Grove Campground while you're here at Cirque Lake, and a splendid place to camp here at Cirque Lake is Tuttle Creek Campground. And that's not all you can do here in the Southern Sierra Nevada. After a long day outdoors Best Western Frontier Motel is a great spot to spend a night or two, and there are plenty of people from Bishop here at Cirque Lake. There       is a great hiking trail right next door to Cirque Lake called the Mount Whitney Trail, and Big Cottonwood Meadows is a glorious spot here at Cirque Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Comfort Inn Lone Pine is a magnificent spot to get some rest; you can run the rapids of Kern River. This is no spot for people who don’t like to have fun. You'll stumble on a pretty lake called South Fork Lakes near Cirque Lake, and if the weather is delightful, you obtain a splendid                  panorama of Cirque Peak from Cirque Lake. High temperatures at Cirque Lake during the summer are in the 90's, and the night is a little cooler of course, usually in the 60's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 50's while the cold winter nights at Cirque Lake are in the 20's. Nearby Army Pass is a fine site to go if you're at Cirque Lake, and do take a look at Long Lake, it's a pretty lake. Cirque Lake is frequently a relatively dried up location; most of the rain falls during January while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
