It's always fun to stop by Chubb Lake. Having a good time at Chubb Lake is painless. While you're here at Chubb Lake you can take a hike along the Spaulding Lake Trail. Since you're here at Chubb Lake why not stop at Gonelson Canyon, and if you need a place to stay Rainbow Lodge is a nice choice. Shinneyboo Creek Cabin Resort is a wonderful site to get some rest, and on a good day you can take a hike along the Mears Lake Valley Trail.

| | down from the sky makes Chubb Lake a wet place; the month of January is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is July. This lake is so wonderful. Fordyce Creek is a nice whitewater spot next to Chubb Lake, and Chubb Lake is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, Lake Spaulding Campground is a delightful local campground. This lake is so wonderful. Skiing at Soda Springs is one of those things you just must do;
a delightful place for whitewater paddling is Yuba River - South Fork. Chubb Lake is one of the lakes here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Very gorgeous scenery and wonderful skiing is what you get at Royal Gorge; not far from Chubb
Lake you'll discover Lake Spaulding which is a beautiful lake.
All the outdoors enjoyable stuff in the neighborhood of Chubb Lake will keep you coming back time and again. From Chubb Lake you acquire a glorious vista of Brady
Mountain, and if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the Grouse Ridge Trail. That right there is plenty of cool things already but it goes on, the Northern Sierra Nevada has it all. You'll meet a lot of people from Truckee-Grass
Valley here; a splendid site to camp here at Chubb Lake is Silver Tip Campground. All through the long summer days, highs ordinarily are in the 80's at Chubb Lake, and the night is slightly cooler of course, typically in the 40's.
During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's, and nighttime lows at Chubb Lake all through the winter generally dip into the 20's.
