    What a nice lake Chinquapin Lake is. These mountains rock, just look at all the entertaining things to do in the Klamath Mountains. There is a great hiking trail in the vicinity of Chinquapin Lake called the Deacon Lee Trail; a great place like Muse Meadow here at Chinquapin Lake is too great to miss. This lake is so wonderful. Chinquapin Lake is a good place to camp, Spring Flat Campground is a good place, and if you need a spot to stay Baymont Inn Yreka is a  
   good choice. The Klamath Mountains scenery is always beautiful.
A good deal of precipitation falls at Chinquapin Lake; the month with most of the rain is December, and July is when it's the driest. The Garden Gulch Trail is a wonderful hiking trail close to Chinquapin Lake; there are some fine whitewater spots on Salmon River. At Chinquapin Lake during the summer months highs are in the 90's, and the nighttime is fairly colder of course, typically in the
 
               50's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are generally in the 40's, and night lows in the 30's for Chinquapin Lake.
If you want a wonderful time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Klamath Mountains. Stay the night at Indian Scotty Campground, and if the weather is tremendous, you can go for a hike along the Tanners Peak Trail. So much enjoyable stuff close to Chinquapin Lake, simply extraordinary. Here at Chinquapin Lake you can spot Boulder Peak; get yourself into a kayak and hit Scott River. This lake is so wonderful.
The Marble Mountains here at Chinquapin Lake makes the scenery here splendid, and lakes are such peaceful locations, why not pop by Angel Lake.
