In the event that you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Wooley Creek; Oregon Caves National Monument is a magnificent local destination. And if that's not enough there's a lot more exciting stuff to do in the Klamath Mountains. | | is a beautiful lake in the Klamath Mountains. Man, is there plenty of exciting things to do near Chimney Rock Lake. Going for a hike on the Garden Gulch Trail is always a fine adventure; lakes are such peaceful places, why not go to Steinacher Lake. Chimney Rock Lake gets a large amount of water; December is when you get the most rain here, and July on the other hand is the driest. 90's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Chimney Rock Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Just can't get
enough of the Klamath Mountains. There's so much to do here at Chimney Rock Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Hotelling Campground is a splendid site for that, and you can go for a hike on the Tanners Peak Trail. A tremendous
location for whitewater paddling in the neighborhood of Chimney Rock Lake is Salmon River - North Fork, and a pretty lake like Lily Lake is a good spot to explore. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Chimney Rock Lake
it's a wonderful idea to go to Crapo Meadows. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Chimney Rock Lake has to offer, you can camp at Red Bank Campground.
