This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Merced River - South Fork offers some great whitewater, and dry warm beds await you at Yosemite Lodge at the Falls. There's pleasant hiking along the Buena Vista Trail; after a long day outdoors dnc -- Wawona Hotel is a good spot to spend a night or two. This lake is located in the wonderful Central Sierra Nevada. There are some good whitewater spots       on Big Creek. Very gorgeous scenery and glorious skiing is what you get at Badger Pass, obviously you could also stop by Buena Vista Lake if you're here; it's not far at all. You feel that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Buena Vista Peak is scenic and can be seen from Chilnualna Lakes. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Chilnualna Lakes has to offer, you can camp at Upper Pines Campground. This lake is so wonderful. A great place to go to                  close to Chilnualna Lakes is Buena Vista Pass, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Chilnualna Lakes; Panorama Trail is a great local trail.
