Sure, Iron Lakes is just a very short distance away. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Chilkoot Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Gaggs Campground is a brilliant place for that; Chilkoot Lake is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Beasore Meadows Campground is a pleasant local campground. Throughout the warm       days of summer at Chilkoot Lake temperatures are usually in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. Throughout the wintertime highs are generally in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Chilkoot Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Tenaya Lodge at Yosemite is a great place to get some rest, and you can go for a hike on the Mono Meadow Trail. You should without doubt dedicate some time to Beasore Meadows while you're here                  at Chilkoot Lake, and glide down the rapids of Willow Creek in a kayak. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool things at Chilkoot Lake. Good hiking is available along the Buena Vista Trail, unsurprisingly you could also visit Grizzly Lake while you're here; it's not far at all. You definitely must like the Central Sierra Nevada. Yosemite National Park is a very good site to go to right next door to Chilkoot Lake, and Little Shuteye Peak is a peak you can make out from Chilkoot Lake. This lake is located in the wonderful Central Sierra Nevada. Chilkoot Lake gets a common amount of rain; most of the rain falls throughout January, and July is the month with the least moisture. These mountains rock, just check out all the entertaining things to do in the Central Sierra Nevada.
