So much exciting stuff to do in the Central Sierra Nevada, not sufficient time. Bear Creek Spire can be seen from Chickenfoot Lake; a wonderful lake like Little Lakes is a perfect spot to go to. Chickenfoot Lake is located in the Central Sierra Nevada. Camping is available at Lake Inlet Campground; Mammoth Mountain       is a great local ski area. Chickenfoot Lake gets very little precipitation; January is the month that gets the most rain, and June is when it's the driest. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Chickenfoot Lake. You can run the rapids of San Joaquin River - South Fork next to Chickenfoot Lake, and a trip to Devils Postpile National Monument is recommended. This site, the Central Sierra Nevada, has so much outdoors exciting things. Mono Pass is                  in the vicinity of Chickenfoot Lake and is beyond doubt a nice place to have a look at, and Mammoth Lakes Travelodge is a good place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Mosquito Flat Campground is always a glorious experience, and dry warm beds await you at Mammoth Creek Inn. This lake is so wonderful. The Mammoth Rock Trail is a magnificent hiking trail right next door to Chickenfoot Lake, and Mono Creek is a good whitewater spot close by. All through the summertime, highs usually are in the 70's at Chickenfoot Lake. During the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 40's.
