So much cool stuff to do in the Central Sierra Nevada, not sufficient time. Don't leave Chapel Lake without first going for a hike along the Don Cecil Trail, and if time allows, Devils Postpile National Monument is a national park worth visiting. This place, Chapel Lake, it just has so much outdoors enjoyable stuff. Lakes are such serene places, why not explore Ambition Lake in the neighborhood of Chapel Lake; there's good       hiking along the John Muir Trail - Pacific Crest Section. There's no way somebody can get bored here in the Central Sierra Nevada. This lake is located in the wonderful Central Sierra Nevada. Do set aside some time for Crown Basin since you're here at Chapel Lake, and splendid hiking is available along the Sheep Creek Trail. This lake is so wonderful. There are some brilliant whitewater spots on Kings River - Middle Fork; camping at Chapel Lake is glorious                  fun, Sabrina Campground is a glorious local campground. Here at Chapel Lake you can spot Finger Peak, and why not camp at North Lake Campground since you're here at Chapel Lake. Summertime highs at Chapel Lake frequently tend to be in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 40's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 40's while Chapel Lake nighttime low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 20's.
