A visit to Chalk Reservoir is always a good idea. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Pit River offers some great whitewater; Fall River Valley Golf & Country Club is a golf course close by. Chalk Reservoir is a beautiful lake in the Southern Cascade Range. All through the summertime at Chalk Reservoir highs are typically in the 80's while overnight lows are typically in the 40's.
