A magnificent location to stop at near Chalk Reservoir is Hat Creek Valley; a lake nearby is Lake Britton. But wait, there's more to do near Chalk Reservoir. Golf can be played at Fall River Valley Golf & Country Club. If you came to camp Dusty Campground is a glorious       place to do that; hiking along the Bunchgrass Trail is pleasant fun. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Pit River. There's so much to do here at Chalk Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Cassel Campground is a great spot for that. For the duration of the warm months here at Chalk Reservoir, high temperatures typically reach the 80's, and all through the night it cools down to the 40's.
