This is a glorious vicinity for folks who like lakes. Lake Britton is a lake around here; if time allows, Lassen Volcanic National       Park is a national park worth stopping at. From a precipitation point of view Chalk Reservoir is a reasonably typical site; December is the wettest month with most snow; the driest month is July.
