Once the sun is down it dips down to the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's, and nighttime lows at Chalfant Lakes through the wintertime ordinarily plunge into the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Chalfant Lakes is not the only place nearby, Honeymoon Lake is a nearby lake; hiking along the Sherwin Lakes Trail is nice fun. Very beautiful scenery and perfect skiing is what       you get at Mammoth Mountain, and if you came for an overnight stay Lake Inlet Campground is a great location to camp. This lake is so wonderful. If you're here, you might as well stop by Italy Pass, and don’t forget to stop at Granite Park since you're here at Chalfant Lakes. Yep, outdoors entertaining things to do are truly bountiful here at Chalfant Lakes. Devils Postpile National Monument is a good local destination here at Chalfant Lakes, and Bear Creek Spire                  is clearly visible from Chalfant Lakes. This place, the Central Sierra Nevada, has so much outdoors fun stuff. A lake nearby is Golden Lake, and there's whitewater on San Joaquin River - South Fork for all you adrenaline kick people.
