Dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Central; from Cedar Lake you acquire a glorious view of Boulder Peak. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Cedar Lake; Sisson Calahan National Recreation Trail is a nice local trail, and why not head up to Mount Shasta and strap some skis to your feet. High temperatures       at Cedar Lake during the warm days of summer are in the 80's. Summer overnight lows dip down to the 40's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 40's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Cedar Lake dip into the 20's. Lower Cliff Lake is a great lake in the vicinity of Cedar Lake, and if you come at the right time of year, Sacramento River offers some good whitewater. Around Cedar Lake you don’t get a lot of rain; the                  month with most of the rain is December, and July is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful.
