California has many beautiful lakes and Cecil Lake is one of them. Take a hike on the Deacon Lee Trail; don't forget to check out Cecil Point while you're here. Cecil Lake gets a common amount of precipitation; December is the month that gets the most rain; the driest month of the year is July. And if that's not enough there's lots more fun things to do in the Klamath Mountains. Going for a hike along the Garden Gulch Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty
of this area, and why not camp at Snipes' Villa while you're here at Cecil Lake.
Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff near Cecil Lake. Hiking along the Tanners Peak Trail is great fun, and a short visit to Cold Spring is always worthwhile. This lake is one of the great places here in the Klamath Mountains. Chikoot Pass is in the neighborhood of Cecil Lake and is beyond doubt a splendid place to stop by, and in the event that you don't mind getting

drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Salmon River - South Fork.
This lake is so wonderful. A great place like Yellow Jacket Basin here at Cecil Lake is too pleasant to miss, and if you came for an overnight stay Bacon Rind Campground is a splendid place to camp. Through the warmest time of the year highs here at Cecil Lake get into the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. Highs all through the wintertime are generally in the 40's, and overnight lows through the winter for Cecil Lake tend to be in the 20's. Now, you may assume that's a heap but there's even more amusing stuff to do here in the Klamath Mountains. If you haven’t been to Whiskeytown National Recreation Area, you ought to schedule some time for it while you're here.
