This lake is so wonderful. What would winter be without some skiing at June Mountain, and if you came to camp Trailer Park Campground is a glorious location to do that. From a precipitation point of view Lake Catherine is a reasonably typical place; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily January, that's the one that rains the most; June is the month with the least moisture. The summits of the Ritter Range add much beauty to the vicinity around Lake Catherine;

| | Banner Peak is painless to spot from Lake Catherine. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Lake Catherine, you'll discover Davis Lakes which is a charming lake; there are some glorious whitewater spots on San Joaquin River - Middle Fork. High temperatures at Lake Catherine during the warm days of summer are in the 90's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. Twin Island Lakes; why not take a refreshing hike along the Mammoth Rock Trail. Lake Catherine is one of the lakes here in the Central Sierra Nevada. Mammoth Mountain Inn is a delightful location to get some rest, and great hiking
is available along the John Muir Trail - section 2. Yep, outdoors enjoyable things truly is abundant here in the Central Sierra Nevada. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Lake Catherine; Gaylor Lakes Trail is a fine local trail, and a pleasant nearby hotel is Heidelberg Inn.
