On a good day at Cathedral Lake you can take a hike along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 14, and at Cathedral Lake you can distinguish Angora Peak. Be careful coming to the Northern Sierra Nevada, you might not ever want to go home again. A splendid beach near Cathedral Lake is Kiva Beach; whitewater paddling is tremendous on American River - South Fork. If you're       looking for a beach next to Cathedral Lake, we recommend Baldwin Beach, and if you need a place to stay Pine Cone Acre Motel is a good choice. That right there is a lot of fun stuff already but it goes on, the Northern Sierra Nevada has it all. Baldwin Beach Campground is a fine local campground, and a tremendous nearby hotel is Pistantes Coyote Den. This lake is located in the wonderful Northern Sierra Nevada. This is no place for people who don’t like                  to have a good time. Going for a hike along the Hawley Grade Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region, and if you're here you should take a look at Sawmill Core. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is great here at Cathedral Lake, you can go for a hike along the General Creek Trail, and there's some out of the ordinary stuff to distinguish at Fallen Leaf Dam close to Cathedral Lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Sierra at Tahoe is in the neighborhood of Cathedral Lake, and playing golf is lots of fun at Tahoe Paradise Golf Course. If you like the outdoors, you'll like Cathedral Lake. Glen Alpine Spring is always fun to check out, and Homewood is a wonderful local ski area. This lake is so wonderful. If you get bored of Cathedral Lake, you could also have a look at nearby Lily Lake, and don't forget to take a delightful little visit to Cathedral Creek. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Cathedral Lake, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's, and all through the dark hours in the winter at Cathedral Lake temperatures drop to the 10's. Why not camp at California Land Management since you're here at Cathedral Lake, and since you're here at Cathedral Lake, checking out Cathedral Peak is a must. Paddling on Silver Creek - South Fork is so much fun. An average amount of precipitation falls at Cathedral Lake; January is when you get the most snow here, and July is when it's the driest.
