The slopes of Bear Valley are so inviting noone can resist; you can stay the night at Pinecrest Camp Ground. Take a little visit to Gooseberry Creek since you're here at Catfish Lake, and there's whitewater on Cherry Creek - West Fork for all you adrenaline kick people. You're sure to stumble upon some great people from Phoenix Lake-Cedar Ridge here, and everybody nearby loves skiing at Dodge Ridge. You definitely must adore the Central Sierra Nevada. There are some great whitewater spots on Stanislaus                  River - South Fork, and Fiddlers Green is a good spot to check out. During the warm months highs here at Catfish Lake reach the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 50's, and overnight lows throughout the winter for Catfish Lake tend to be in the 30's.
