If you are traveling by, why not stop by Catfish Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Bear Valley is a very popular ski area close at hand. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors cool things the Central Sierra Nevada has to offer. Dodge Ridge has brilliant slopes and a friendly staff. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Catfish Lake has to offer, you can camp at Meadowview Campground. What a location this is for outdoors folks. The good people

Whohoo, so much entertaining stuff in one place! The Central Sierra Nevada is unbeatable! This lake is so wonderful. If you get
bored of Catfish Lake, you could also take a look at nearby Leland Reservoir, and do take a hike on the Emigrant Trail. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Cherry Creek
- West Fork, and Gooseberry Creek is in the neighborhood of Catfish Lake and is always a delight to have a look at. Catfish Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; through the month of January you get the most rain around here;
July on the other hand is the driest.
If you need a place to stay Tamarack Pines Inn is a perfect choice; Stanislaus River - South Fork is a good whitewater spot nearby.
