What a nice lake Catfish Lake is. Don't forget to take a glorious little visit to Gooseberry Creek, and there's whitewater on Cherry Creek - West Fork for all you adrenaline kick people. Through the long summer days at Catfish Lake highs are ordinarily in the 80's. Through the moonlight hours it's typically in the 50's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 50's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Catfish Lake. This lake is so wonderful.

Catfish Lake frequently gets a large amount of rainfall; throughout the month of January you get the most rain around here; July is when it's the driest. There's so much to do here at Catfish Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Pinecrest Camp Ground is a good place for that, and beautiful scenery and | |

good skiing is what you acquire at Bear Valley. This lake is one of the great places here in the Central Sierra Nevada.
That right there is plenty of exciting things already but it goes on, the Central Sierra Nevada has it all.
Looking for something in close proximity to Catfish Lake? Pinecrest Lake is in the neighborhood. Now, you may believe that's a load but there's even more fun stuff to do here at Catfish Lake. There are perfect spots to discover along
the Emigrant Trail, and hey, Gotta ski right? Dodge Ridge is a splendid location to do that. Be careful coming to the Central Sierra Nevada, you might not ever want to return home again. A pleasant trip to Fiddlers Green is a magnificent
way to spend an afternoon, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Stanislaus River - South Fork.
