In California there are many beautiful lakes, Catfish Lake is one of them. Just can't get enough of Catfish Lake. Going for a hike along the Bowman Mountain Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region, and a short spree to Damfine Spring is always worthwhile. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting things in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Really good skiing awaits you at Royal Gorge, and do have a look at Echo Lake, it's a stunning lake. Catfish

| | Lake is not far at all from Truckee-Grass Valley; camping is available at Silver Tip Campground.
This lake is so wonderful. Looking for some flowing water? Try French Creek, and if you come at the right time of year, Fordyce Creek offers some good whitewater. Hiking along the Glacier Lakes Trail is good fun, and Chalet View Lodge is a nice place to get some rest. This lake is one of the great places here in the Northern Sierra Nevada.

good place of normal precipitation; January is the wettest month with most rain; the driest of the months is July. This lake is so wonderful. The top of English Mountain is easily seen from Catfish Lake, and why not camp at Jackson
Point Campground since you're here at Catfish Lake. So much cool stuff to do at Catfish Lake, so little time.
If the weather is great here at Catfish Lake, you can go for a hike along the Crooked Lakes Trail, and there's no such
thing as a bad day of skiing at close by Soda Springs. So much enjoyable stuff in the Northern Sierra Nevada, just extraordinary. A trip to Jackson Meadows invigorates the soul, and there are some delightful whitewater spots on Yuba
River - South Fork. Through the warm days of summer highs here at Catfish Lake reach the 90's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 40's. During the wintertime highs are regularly in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Catfish Lake are in the 20's.
