High temperatures at Castle Lake throughout the summertime are in the 80's. Summer night lows dip down to the 40's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 40's, and after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Castle Lake descend into the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Sisson Calahan National Recreation Trail; if you need a site to stay A-1 Choice Inn       is a great choice. Castle Lake is ordinarily a rather waterless spot; December is the wettest month with most rain; the driest month of the year is July. Camping is available at Castle Lake Campground; the Castle Lake Trail offers hiking at its best. Head up to Mount Shasta and strap some skis to your feet; why not camp at Lake Siskiyou Camp Resort if you're here at Castle Lake. Be careful coming to Castle Lake, you might not ever wanna go back home again.                  After a long day outdoors Best Western Tree House Motor Inn is a great place to spend a night or two; since you're here, you could also have a look at beautiful Siskiyou Lake. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Crags Trail, and Sacramento River is a delightful whitewater spot nearby.
