If you like lakes and you're in this part of California you can check out Castaic Lake. This lake is one of the great places here in the Sierra Madre. A great place to camp here at Castaic Lake is Castaic Lake RV Park; you can have a pleasant hiking adventure along the Warm Springs Necktie Trail. If you go for the outdoors, you'll like Castaic Lake. Not far from Castaic Lake, you'll hit upon Castaic Lagoon which is a striking lake; since you're here you can

| | take a hike along the Warm Springs Trail.
Through the summer, highs frequently are in the 80's at Castaic Lake, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. Highs throughout the winter are regularly in the 40's; through the dark hours in the winter at Castaic Lake temperatures plunge to the 30's. is so wonderful. Why not camp at Cienaga Campground while you're here at Castaic Lake; on a splendid day you can take a hike along the Devil Canyon Trail.
There's no way somebody can get bored here in the Sierra Madre. A visit
to Grasshopper Canyon is always fun, and if you need a spot to stay Days Inn Near Six Flags-Magic Mountain is a good choice. So much amusing stuff to do in the Sierra Madre, not sufficient time. After a long day outdoors Rodeway Inn
Magic Mountain Area is a great spot to spend a night or two, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Piru Creek. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Piru Creek
offers some splendid whitewater.
Castaic Lake is next to Castaic Lake Dam which is a charming place undeniably worth a visit, and Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area is one of the destinations that are fine to visit close by.
