Going for a hike along the Snowy Creek Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and if you come at the right time of year, Piru Creek offers some glorious whitewater. Castac Lake is one of the lakes here in the Sierra Madre. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Sierra Madre. A glorious site to stop       by right next door to Castac Lake is Bear Canyon; if you came to camp Redtail Canyon Campground is a good spot to do that. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Econo Lodge Gorman, and you'll find a scenic lake called Quail Lake. So much entertaining stuff to do here at Castac Lake, too glorious to be true. The Henderson Trail is a fine hiking trail near Castac Lake; camping at Circle Canyon Campground is always a great experience. At Castac                  Lake you don’t see much precipitation; the wettest month of the year is mostly February, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month of the year is July.
