There's so much to do here at Cascade Lakes that you need to camp here for a while, Cold Springs Campground is a magnificent place for that, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Heath Falls Overlook Trail. Dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express TRUCKEE, and a gorgeous lake like Kidd Lake is a magnificent place to pop by. This place, the Northern Sierra Nevada, has so much outdoors enjoyable stuff. Gotta ski! Boreal is       a great location to do that, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Cascade Lakes; Lola Montez Trail is a good local trail. This lake is so wonderful. Long Lake is a great lake right next door to Cascade Lakes, and there are some glorious whitewater spots on Fordyce Creek. If you adore the outdoors you'll adore it here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. The slopes of Soda Springs are so inviting noone can resist, and you can make out Devils Peak from Cascade                  Lakes. Cascade Lakes is one of the lakes here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Whohoo, so much exciting stuff in one place! Cascade Lakes is excellent! Good hiking is available along the Long Valley Trail, and Cascade Lakes is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Van Norden Campground is a fine local campground. High temperatures at Cascade Lakes through the summer are in the 70's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's generally in the 50's. Highs through the wintertime are ordinarily in the 40's, and overnight lows in the 20's for Cascade Lakes. Cascade Lakes is a wet spot that gets much precipitation; most of the rain falls throughout January, and July is when it's the driest.
