The beauty of Cascade Lake attracts many people from all around. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Cascade Lake; Gaylor Lakes Trail is a great local trail. Lakes are pleasant; Alpine Lake is a lake that's close to Cascade Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Yosemite Gateway Motel is a great place to get some rest, and close by you locate Lundy Pass which is a great site to visit. This lake is one of the great places here in the Central Sierra Nevada. | | Pacific Crest Trail - section 12 offers hiking at its best, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by June Mountain. Man, is there heaps of entertaining stuff to do in the vicinity of Cascade Lake. A perfect close by hotel is Best Western Ruby Inn, and why not take a refreshing hike along the John Muir Trail - section 1. This lake is so wonderful. Campground is a magnificent place to camp. Summertime highs at Cascade Lake usually tend to be in the 80's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's generally in the 30's. Highs through the winter are commonly in the 40's with
winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Cascade Lake. That right there is a lot of fun stuff already but it goes on, the Central Sierra Nevada has it all. Whitewater paddling is fine on Tenaya Creek, and some exciting geology is
available here, Conness Glacier is right here. Be careful coming to the Central Sierra Nevada, you might not ever wanna return home again. Sawmill Campground is a pleasant campground here, and you acquire a delightful vista of
Mount Conness from here. At Cascade Lake you don’t see much precipitation; most of the snow falls during January while October is generally the driest month.
