Cascade Lake gets very little precipitation; January is the wettest month with most snow, and October on the other hand is the driest. You'll truly wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun stuff in the Central Sierra Nevada. Soar down the rapids of Tuolumne River in a kayak; you can go for a hike on the John Muir Trail - section 1. place to get some rest, and if you feel like a little side tour, try Lundy Pass. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Yosemite Gateway Motel is a glorious choice; get dripping wet paddling on Tenaya Creek. Through
the warm days of summer highs here at Cascade Lake get into the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 30's. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 40's; after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures
at Cascade Lake fall into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. You simply must explore Conness Glacier since you're here at Cascade Lake, and Cascade Lake is a splendid site to visit for more than one day, Saddlebag Campground
is a splendid site to camp nearby. Going for a hike on the Pacific Crest Trail - section 12 is always a glorious adventure; not far from Cascade Lake you'll discover Steelhead Lake which is a wonderful lake.
