    If you are in El Dorado county it's always a good idea to stop by Cascade Lake.; January is the wettest month with most snow while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Just can't get enough of the Northern Sierra Nevada. This is a popular site for folks from Gardnerville Ranchos; if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Lake Tahoe Golf Course is in the vicinity.
At Cascade Lake during the warm days of summer highs are in the
 
   70's, and during the night it cools down to the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Cascade Lake are in the 10's. Going for a hike on the Pacific Crest Trail - section 14 is always a splendid adventure; Homewood has brilliant slopes and a friendly staff. Any time is a brilliant time at Cascade Lake if you like the outdoors. Dry warm beds await you at Pine Cone Acre Motel; Parson Rock is an exciting spot to have a look  
               at while at Cascade Lake.
This lake is so wonderful. If you want to hit the beach, Baldwin Beach is in the neighborhood, and tremendous skiing awaits you at Sierra at Tahoe. Tallac Lake is a nearby lake that you could take a look at, and there are good places to discover along the General Creek Trail. So many enjoyable things in the Northern Sierra Nevada, just extraordinary. Cascade Creek flows through this region, and a fine place to camp here at Cascade Lake is Upper Eagle Point Campground.
The Northern Sierra Nevada scenery is always beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. Eagle Point is close by and always magnificent to have a look at; Eagle Falls is an inspiring place to explore while here. From Cascade Lake you acquire a good sight of Inspiration Point, and camping at Bayview Campground is always a good experience.
And that's not all there is to do here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. In case you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on American River - South Fork, and if you get bored of Cascade Lake you could also visit nearby Fallen Leaf Lake. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Cascade Lake. If you need a site to stay The Truckee Hotel is a magnificent choice; you can go for a hike on the Hawley Grade Trail. This lake is so wonderful. On a great day it's a good idea to spend the day at Kiva Beach, and Silver Creek - South Fork has a pleasant whitewater paddling spot close by.

ya its cool...first time i went there...i had a blast...i guarantee i am coming back ti snowboard...AAA++++...Man, this place is tiny. I like it that way, it's very cozy and inspiring....Boreal is a great little ski area, plenty of fun runs and good snow. It's a lot smaller than most ski areas around here which is of course both good and bad. But for a resort of this size it's perfect....
