If you need a place to stay Best Western Porterville Inn is a great choice. This site, the Southern Sierra Nevada, has so much outdoors amusing stuff. The views at Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Park will blow your mind; the Atwell Hockett Trail is a wonderful hiking trail nearby. Carl Lake is a beautiful lake in the Southern Sierra Nevada. Carl Lake gets a common       amount of yearly rain; January is when you get the most rain here, and July is when it's the driest. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 90's to Carl Lake. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 50's while Carl Lake night low temperatures during the winter are in the 30's. Having a glorious time at Carl Lake is easy. Frasier Mill Campground is a brilliant local campground, and Kaweah River is a tremendous                  whitewater spot nearby. If the weather is nice here at Carl Lake, you can go for a hike along the Hockett Meadows Trail, and in case you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Kaweah River - Middle Fork. After a long day outdoors Comfort Inn At Sequoia National Park is a tremendous site to spend a night or two; Carl Lake is not the only site close by, Hedrick Mill Pond is a close by lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Sunset Point Campground is a great location to camp, and if you've had enough of Carl Lake, Summit Lake is close by. So much exciting stuff to do in the Southern Sierra Nevada, not enough time.
