Caples Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. The skiing at Kirkwood is wonderful, and a lake close by is Devils Hole Lake. Harvest Inn-St Helena, Napa Valley is a delightful spot to get some rest, and if you get bored of Caples Lake you could also visit nearby Lake Margaret. If you came for an overnight stay Caples Lake Campground is a tremendous location to camp; you can go for a hike on the Emigrant Trail.

| | wonderful. If you need a place to stay Pine Cone Acre Motel is a glorious choice, and the summit of Two Sentinels can be spotted from Caples Lake. Summertime highs at Caples Lake mostly tend to be in the 70's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 40's. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Caples Lake temperatures sink to the 10's. Having a great time at Caples Lake is painless. | |

Caples Lake is a quite wet place generally with lots of rainfall; January is when you get the most snow here; July is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful.
Kirkwood Creek flows through this area, and going for a hike on the Charity Valley Trail is always a fine adventure. Caples Lake is a beautiful lake in the Northern Sierra Nevada.
And that's not everything you can do here in the
Northern Sierra Nevada. Near Caples Lake you locate the Hawley Grade Trail which is a fine hiking trail, and float down the rapids of Mokelumne River - North Fork in a kayak. All the outdoors entertaining things close to Caples Lake
will keep you coming back many times. Sierra at Tahoe is a brilliant local ski area, and locations like Kirkwood Meadows are great to pop by. So many fun things in the Northern Sierra Nevada, just astonishing. Get yourself into a kayak and hit American River - South Fork; Kirwood Campground is a perfect campground nearby.
