     The high level of rain makes Caples Lake a pretty wet spot; the month of January is the wettest with most of the snow, and July meanwhile is the driest month. If you want a magnificent time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Northern Sierra Nevada. There's whitewater on American River - South Fork for all you thrill seekers, and Caples Lake is a great site to visit for more than one day, Kirwood Campground is a great site to camp nearby. Caples Lake  
   is one of the lakes here in the Northern Sierra Nevada.
This lake is so wonderful. Why not have a look at close by Kirkwood Creek if you're here at Caples Lake, and dry warm beds await you at The Meadow. High temperatures at Caples Lake during the long summer days are in the 70's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Caples Lake are in the 10's. This place, Caples Lake,
 
               it absolutely has so much outdoors cool stuff. Two Sentinels is a peak you can spot from Caples Lake, and if you need a site to stay Meadowstone is a magnificent choice.
Yep, outdoors cool things truly is bountiful here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. There are pleasant sites to look at along the Emigrant Trail, and there are some magnificent whitewater spots on Mokelumne River - North Fork. During your tour to Caples Lake you'll meet some people from Gardnerville Ranchos for sure, and Caples Lake Campground is a good local campground. Kirkwood has delightful slopes and a friendly staff; you must certainly dedicate some time to Kirkwood Meadows since you're here at Caples Lake.
But wait, there's more to do near Caples Lake. Sierra at Tahoe is a very popular ski area around here. This lake is so wonderful. There is a brilliant hiking trail close to Caples Lake called the Hawley Grade Trail, and lakes are such calm places, why not check out Twin Lakes Reservoir. Going for a hike on the Charity Valley Trail is always a nice adventure; a scenic lake like Kirkwood Lake is a great place to go to.
