     If you go for the outdoors you'll go for it here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. If you came to camp Sundew Campground is a delightful site to do that, and in case you don’t mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Feather River - North Fork. The amount of rain that falls at Cape Lake is close to the national average; January is the wettest month with most snow; July on the other hand is the driest. This is no spot for people who  
   don’t like to have fun. Bald Eagle Mountain is clearly visible from Cape Lake, and do take a hike on the Yellow Creek Trail.
This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Claremont Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity; Cape Lake is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Sandy Point Campground is a tremendous local campground. Best Western Rose Quartz Inn is a great place to get some rest, and hiking along the Cleghorn
 
               Bar Trail is tremendous fun. You'll really wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun things in the Northern Sierra Nevada. You're perhaps into lakes, Dry Lake is one of those close by, and a glorious spot to visit is Pat Maloy Ravine.
This lake is located in the wonderful Northern Sierra Nevada. During the days of summer at Cape Lake temperatures are commonly in the 80's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 40's. Highs through the winter are commonly in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Cape Lake.
Visit Lavassi Creek since you're here at Cape Lake, and Chucks Rock is an out of the ordinary site to check out while at Cape Lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Bailey Creek Cottages is a great choice. Lakes are good; Mud Lake is a lake that's close to Cape Lake.

Cool Springs Campground is owned by PG&E and managed by American Land and Leisure (AL&L). You may contact AL&L, at 530-284-1785, from May to October. No reservations are taken for camping. Cool Springs is generally open from early May through mid-September. The heaviest use is between mid-June through mid-August. Butt Lake is a great fishing lake. Motorboats are allowed but no skiing or jet skis. There is a nice rock\sand beach for playing....
