If you come at the right time of year, Kern River offers some delightful whitewater; Camp Lake is right by the Mount Whitney Trail. Best Western Frontier Motel is a good place to get some rest, and do take a hike on the Pat Keyes Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Here at Camp Lake there are plenty of folks from Bishop, and Meysan Lake is a fine lake close by. All the outdoors amusing       stuff near Camp Lake will keep you coming back over and over. If you need a place to stay Comfort Inn Lone Pine is a good choice, and a delightful panorama of striking Mount Corcoran is available. This lake is so wonderful. Tuttle Creek Campground is a glorious local campground, and hey, North Fork Lone Pine Creek is a delightful local stream. So many exciting things in the Southern Sierra Nevada, just mind-blowing. Arc Pass is a tremendous place to explore,                  and Bighorn Park is a great site to check out. Summertime at Camp Lake comes with high temperatures in the 90's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 60's. During the wintertime highs are ordinarily in the 50's; during the dark hours in the wintertime at Camp Lake temperatures descend to the 20's. Camp Lake is located in the Southern Sierra Nevada. There are other locations here than Camp Lake, for example Grass Lake, and Camp Lake is a magnificent place to visit for more than one day, Symmes Creek Campground is a magnificent place to camp nearby.
