For the period of the summertime, highs commonly are in the 90's at Caldwell Lakes. Summer night lows descend down to the 40's. All through the winter highs are in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Caldwell Lakes are in the 20's. Get wet paddling on Trinity River - East Fork, and after a long day outdoors Quality Inn & Suites Weed is a       great site to spend a night or two. The peak of China Mountain can be seen from Caldwell Lakes. This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Trinity River is so much fun, and a lake nearby is West Park Lakes. Caldwell Lakes is a location that is rather dehydrated mostly; December is when you get the most rain here while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Caldwell Lakes is right by the Pacific Crest Trail - section 18, naturally you could also                  pop by Bluff Lake while you're here; it's not far at all. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Caldwell Lakes; Sisson Calahan National Recreation Trail is a perfect local trail, and Cement Bluff is something you shouldn't miss since you're here. If you want a pleasant time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Caldwell Lakes. A perfect nearby hotel is Comfort Inn Central, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Echo Lake Trail. This lake is so wonderful.
