If you are in Nevada county it's always a good idea to stop by Buzzard Roost Lake. This lake is located in the wonderful Northern Sierra Nevada. This lake is so wonderful. There is a perfect hiking trail in the neighborhood of Buzzard Roost Lake called the Glacier Lakes Trail; whitewater paddling is good on Yuba River - South Fork. This lake is so wonderful. You get a tremendous view of Buzzard Roost from Buzzard Roost Lake. There's so much to do here at Buzzard Roost Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Van Norden Campground is a wonderful place for that. site to spend a night or two, and you can never get enough of the nice skiing at Boreal. Lots of rain falls at Buzzard Roost Lake; through the month of January you get the most rain around here, and the driest month of the year is
July.
If you like the outdoors you'll like it here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. White Rock Creek is a stream that you may bump into while here; nearby Paradise Valley is a pleasant place to go. Don’t forget to go to Bull Flat
since you're here at Buzzard Roost Lake, and paddling on Fordyce Creek is so much fun. You'll locate a lovely lake called Hole-In-Ground near Buzzard Roost Lake, and if you came to camp Cold Springs Campground is a great location
to do that.
Just can't get enough of Buzzard Roost Lake. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Buzzard Roost Lake; the nighttime is a little cooler of course, mostly in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the
40's, and nighttime lows in the 20's for Buzzard Roost Lake. A great close by hotel is Always Inn Tahoe Bed and Breakfast; if the weather is brilliant, you can go for a hike along the Lola Montez Trail.
