It's always glorious to explore Cold Spring; if you came for an overnight stay Benner Creek Campground is a tremendous site to camp. Butte Lake is regularly a relatively dried out place; the month of January is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is July. Now, you may imagine that's loads but there's even more cool stuff to do here at Butte Lake. What would a place like       Butte Lake be without exciting nearby traits like Fantastic Lava Beds, and a great nearby hotel is Bailey Creek Cottages. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Butte Creek Campground, and Butte Lake is right by the Pacific Crest Trail - section 16. The Southern Cascade Range scenery is always beautiful. Now, you may feel that's lots but there's even more exciting stuff to do here in the Southern Cascade Range. Butte Creek is a picturesque stream                  that is worth taking a look at, and not far from Butte Lake you'll hit upon Bathtub Lake which is a wonderful lake. And if that's not sufficient there's heaps more fun things to do in the Southern Cascade Range. Sunrise Peak is beautiful and can be seen from Butte Lake; hiking along the Childs Meadows Trail is magnificent fun. If you need a site to stay Best Western Rose Quartz is a nice choice; do take a hike on the Hanna Trail. Through the summertime at Butte Lake highs are typically in the 90's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 40's. Daytime highs throughout the wintertime are in the 40's, and nighttime lows at Butte Lake during the wintertime mostly dip into the 20's. This lake is so wonderful.
