Burro Lake in fact is in the middle of a scenic outdoors paradise. The Pacific Crest Trail - section 12 offers hiking at its best; there's whitewater on Tenaya Creek for all you thrill seekers. If you get bored of Burro Lake, you could also pop by close by Frog Lakes, and Yosemite Gateway Motel is a great spot to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. From Burro Lake you obtain a magnificent view of       Black Mountain; Saddlebag Campground is a great campground nearby. Just can't get enough of the Central Sierra Nevada. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Burro Lake; Gaylor Lakes Trail is a fine local trail; Burro Lake is not the only place nearby, Cooney Lake is a nearby lake. Why not take a refreshing hike along the John Muir Trail - section 2, and Burro Lake is a delightful location to visit for more than one day, Sawmill Campground is a delightful                  location to camp nearby. Burro Lake is pretty dehydrated ordinarily; most of the snow falls during January while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Through the days of summer at Burro Lake highs are regularly in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 30's.
