All through the summer here at Burro Lake, high temperatures mostly get into the 90's. Summer nighttime lows drop down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's with temperatures at Burro Lake dipping down into the 20's throughout winter nights. This lake is one of the great places here in the Central Sierra Nevada. Burro Lake gets a typical amount of yearly precipitation; the wettest month of the year is mostly January, that's the
one that rains the most, and the driest month of the year is August.
If you need a site to stay The Ahwahnee is a wonderful choice, and great hiking is available along the Mono Meadow Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Madera Lakes is a nearby lake that you could visit, and there's pleasant hiking along the Half Dome Trail. What a site this is for outdoors people. The Balls is one of the things that make Burro Lake so tremendous; while you're here, you could

also go to charming Lady Lake.
And that's not all there is to do here in the Central Sierra Nevada. Upper Chiquito Campground is a fine local campground; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Merced River - South Fork. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Clouds Rest Trail, and there are some delightful whitewater spots on San Joaquin River - Middle Fork. After a long day outdoors Tenaya Lodge at Yosemite is a great place to spend a night or two.
Do pay a visit to Yosemite National Park while you're here at Burro Lake; why not camp at Bowler Group Campground if you're here at Burro Lake. So many exciting things in the Central Sierra Nevada, just astonishing. The sight of striking Balls near Burro Lake is good; hey, Shirley Creek is a great local stream.
