     A lot of precipitation falls at Burney Lake; December is when you get the most rain here, and July is when it's the driest. The Klamath Mountains scenery is always beautiful. You clearly should go for Burney Lake. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always check out nearby Blue Granite Lake; Sulphur Springs Campground is a fine local campground.
Cuddihy Valley is a good place to explore close to Burney Lake, and if you're here you can take
 
   a hike along the Tanners Peak Trail. Lakes? Sure, Toms Lake is in the vicinity, and you obtain a tremendous vista of Pigeon Roost from here. This lake is so wonderful.
So many fun things to do here in the Klamath Mountains, too fine to be true. If the weather is pleasant here at Burney Lake, you can go for a hike along the Boundary National Recreation Trail, and paddling on Wooley Creek is so much fun. Man, is there a load of entertaining things to do in
 
               the Klamath Mountains. Soar down the rapids of Elk Creek in a kayak, and if you have time, Oregon Caves National Monument is a national park worth taking a look at. High temperatures at Burney Lake during the warm days of summer are in the 90's with nighttime lows in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's while Burney Lake overnight low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 30's.
This lake is so wonderful. Burney Lake is a fine place to visit for more than one day, Spring Flat Campground is a fine place to camp nearby; going for a hike along the Garden Gulch Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity.
