    If you are in this part of California make sure to pay a visit to Bummer Lake. This lake is so wonderful. There are plenty of folks from Crescent City North here at Bummer Lake, and camping at Red Alder Campground is always a good experience. That right there is a heap already, but it continues; Bummer Lake has it all. Redwood National and State Parks is a brilliant local destination here at Bummer Lake, and going for a hike along the French Hill Trail will  
   let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. Having a splendid time in the Coast Ranges is uncomplicated. Bald Hill can be made out from Bummer Lake, and Paradise Flat is right here at Bummer Lake.
The Coast Ranges scenery is always beautiful. Looking for some flowing water? Try Coon Creek; Smith River - South Fork is a great whitewater spot nearby. A good deal of precipitation falls at Bummer Lake; the wettest month of the year is mostly December,
 
               that's the one that rains the most while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Motel - Crescent City, and if the weather is nice, you can go for a hike along the Elk Camp Ridge Trail. But wait, there's more entertaining things to do in the Coast Ranges. Bummer Lake is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Hiouchi Hamlet RV Resort is a wonderful local campground, and near Bummer Lake you discover a golf course called Del Norte Golf Course. At Bummer Lake during the warm days of summer highs are in the 60's while night lows are frequently in the 50's. All through the winter the highs are regularly in the 50's, and overnight lows through the wintertime for Bummer Lake tend to be in the 30's.
If you need a spot to stay Best Western Northwoods Inn is a great choice. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Goose Creek, and hiking along the Paradise Trail is tremendous fun.
