A pleasant trip to Loney Meadow is a good way to spend an afternoon; a glorious spot to camp here at Bullpen Lake is Carr-Feeley Campground. Poison Canyon is a good location to spend some time at, and in case you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Fordyce Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Bowman Mountain Trail is always a great adventure;       the nice folks of Truckee-Grass Valley like to hang out nearby. Now, you may imagine that's a heap but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here at Bullpen Lake. If you need a place to stay Chalet View Lodge is a magnificent choice. Bullpen Lake is one of the lakes here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. No way I can stop, cause I'm havin' a wonderful time here at Bullpen Lake. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Soda Springs is right next door to Bullpen                  Lake, and Bowman Mountain can be spotted from Bullpen Lake. This lake is so wonderful. There are good locations to discover along the Crooked Lakes Trail, and the snow is perfect at Royal Gorge. Don't leave Bullpen Lake without first going for a hike along the Round Lake Trail; a lake close by is Lindsey Lakes. After a long day outdoors Deer Creek Inn is a good place to spend a night or two, and whitewater paddling is good on Yuba River - South Fork. Summertime highs at Bullpen Lake mostly tend to be in the 90's. Through the moonlight hours it's generally in the 40's. Highs all through the winter are generally in the 40's, and nighttime lows in the 20's for Bullpen Lake. But wait, there's more enjoyable things to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Bullpen Lake is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Lindsey Campground is a brilliant local campground, and Lindsey Lakes is a nearby lake that you could take a look at.
