     Summer at Bullfrog Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are generally in the 40's; through the dark hours in the winter at Bullfrog Lake temperatures fall to the 20's. Be careful coming to Bullfrog Lake, you might not ever wanna return back home again. Camping is available at Symmes Creek Campground, and a quick journey to Vidette Creek is beyond doubt a great  
   idea. Around Bullfrog Lake you don’t get a lot of precipitation; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most rain, and June is the month with the least moisture.
Just can't get enough of the Southern Sierra Nevada. There are other places here than Bullfrog Lake, for example Vidette Lakes, and since you're here at Bullfrog Lake, checking out Kearsarge Pinnacles is a must. This lake is located in the wonderful Southern Sierra Nevada. Bullfrog
 
               Lake is right by the Pacific Crest Trail - section 11, and if you need a site to stay Best Western Frontier Motel is a great choice.
Charlotte Lake is a good lake near Bullfrog Lake, and hiking along the Mount Whitney Trail is magnificent fun. This lake is so wonderful. From Bullfrog Lake you acquire a great panorama of East Vidette, and if you crave a little side journey, try Glen Pass. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Fort Independence Campground is a glorious spot to camp.
And if that's not enough there's a load more entertaining stuff to do in the Southern Sierra Nevada. You ought to positively dedicate some time to Lower Vidette Meadow since you're here at Bullfrog Lake, and you can have a magnificent hiking adventure along the John Muir Trail - Pacific Crest Section.

This is a picture I took of Moose Lake on a lengthy loop hike in the Sequoias taking the Lakes trail past Heather, Astor, Emerald, and Pear Lakes; then cross country over the divide above Moose Lake where I took this photograph looking down on the lake. I then returned to the trailhead by going southwest over the divide down to the Alta Trail through Panther Gap back to the Lakes trailhead. A very long day hike. I took pictures along the entire route....
