The beauty of Bull Run Lake is reason enough to stop by. And that's not all there is to do here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Marshall Canyon is close to Bull Run Lake and is undeniably a great location to visit, and a nice place for whitewater paddling is Mokelumne River - North Fork. This lake is so wonderful. Sierra Nevada. Camping at Bull Run Lake is glorious fun, Mosquito Lakes Campground is a glorious local campground, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Bull Run Lake; Pacific Crest Trail - section 13 is a great local trail.
Pacific Valley Campground is a tremendous campground here, and you can run the rapids of Stanislaus River - Middle Fork. Skiing at Kirkwood is one of those things you just ought to do. Bull Run Lake is a wet place that gets much
rain; throughout the month of January you get the most snow around here, and the driest of the months is July. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun stuff at Bull Run Lake. Dry warm beds await you at Bear Valley Lodge, and the Charity Valley Trail offers hiking at its best.
