This lake is located in the wonderful Northern Sierra Nevada. Not far from Bugle Lake, you'll discover Loon Lake which is a beautiful lake, and don't leave Bugle Lake without first paying a visit to Mineral Springs. Summertime at Bugle Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 40's. Throughout the winter the highs are mostly in the 40's while the       cold winter nights at Bugle Lake are in the 20's. Bugle Lake is a wet spot that gets lots of rain; during January this area sees the most rain, and the driest month of the year is July. Man, is there loads of amusing things to do near Bugle Lake. Soar down the rapids of American River - South Fork in a kayak. This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Loon Lake Trail, and the snow is magnificent at Homewood. Not enough hours                  in a day to enjoy the Northern Sierra Nevada. Bugle Lake is right by the Poison Hole Trail, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Alpine Meadows. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Bugle Lake; McKinstry Trail is a fine local trail, and dry warm beds await you at Squaw Valley Lodge. This lake is so wonderful. Guide Peak is stunning and can be distinguished from Bugle Lake, and if you need a spot to stay Plumpjack Squaw Valley Inn is a great choice. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this spot. Ellis Creek is a picturesque stream that is worth a visit, and get dripping wet paddling on Silver Creek - South Fork. Don’t forget to pop by Little McKinstry Meadow while you're here at Bugle Lake, and why not camp at Wentworth Springs Campground while you're here at Bugle Lake.
