Can someone contact me...as I am planning a family reunion and we will be hiking into Blue Canyon and will pass thru Cottam camprgound - I am assuming thea is the same location as Cottam Flats. Inn on Summer Hill is a great place to get some rest, and a stunning lake like Ortega Reservoir is a pleasant place to explore. For the duration of the warmest time of the year at Buell Reservoir temperatures are mostly in the 90's. During the moonlight hours it's generally in the 50's. Highs through the wintertime are ordinarily       in the 60's; after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Buell Reservoir drop into the 30's. Be careful coming to the Santa Ynez Mountains, you might not ever wanna go home again. Why not take a refreshing hike along the San Ysidro Trail; Ortega Dam is a site that is close to Buell Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. Loon Point is close by and always good to stop by, and do have a look at Romero Reservoir, it's a beautiful lake. All our national                  parks are magnificent places to go to, and Channel Islands National Park is no exception. This lake is so wonderful. Some of the water close by flows, like Garrapata Creek, and on a lovely day you can check out East Beach. Camping at Carpinteria Camper Park is always a magnificent experience, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Buell Reservoir; Blue Canyon Trail is a delightful local trail. What a place this is for outdoors people. There's fine hiking along the Romero Trail; Buell Reservoir is perfect enough to spend more than a day at, Upper Blue Canyon Campground is a perfect local campground. Yeah, come up here to the Santa Ynez Mountains for a delightful time. While staying at Buell Reservoir you could always explore Oil Canyon, and dry warm beds await you at Sandyland Reef Inn.
