Gibralter Lake , Jameson Reservoir yes or was it remaned?? - My maiden name is Cottam I was born & raised in Santa Barbara- Cottam Flat / Campground was named after my father who packed people over to Blue Canyon where at one time he had built a cabin there. Can someone contact me...as I am planning a family reunion and we will be hiking into Blue Canyon and will pass thru Cottam camprgound - I am assuming thea is the same location as Cottam Flats. These mountains rock, just explore all the enjoyable things to do in the Santa Ynez Mountains. Buell Reservoir is a perfect place to visit for more than one day, Upper Blue Canyon Campground is a perfect place to camp nearby, and do go to Ortega Dam if you're here. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the San Ysidro Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood, and after a       long day outdoors Sandyland Reef Inn is a perfect place to spend a night or two. High temperatures at Buell Reservoir all through the long summer days are in the 90's, and the night is a tad chillier of course, commonly in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 60's while the cold winter nights at Buell Reservoir are in the 30's. If you want a tremendous time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Santa Ynez Mountains. Getting                  to Garrapata Creek from Buell Reservoir is easy, and do pay a visit to Channel Islands National Park while you're here at Buell Reservoir. Buell Reservoir is right by the Romero Trail, and nearby you come across Loon Point. This lake is so wonderful. Near Buell Reservoir you stumble on pleasant locations like Oil Canyon, and there are other sites here than Buell Reservoir, for example Jameson Lake. A brilliant beach in the neighborhood of Buell Reservoir is East Beach; hiking along the Blue Canyon Trail is great fun. This lake is one of the great places here in the Santa Ynez Mountains. Around Buell Reservoir you don’t get a lot of precipitation; of all the months in a year February is the one with the most rain, and July is when it's the driest. So many amusing things near Buell Reservoir, completely inspiring.
