    In California there are many beautiful lakes, Buck Lake is one of them. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Dodge Ridge, and if you come at the right time of year, Cherry Creek - West Fork offers some great whitewater. This lake is so wonderful. Long Lake Dam is not far at all from Buck Lake, and you're probably keen on lakes, Buck Lake is one of those close by.
So many exciting things in the Central Sierra Nevada, just impressive.
 
   Glide down the rapids of Stanislaus River - Middle Fork in a kayak, and you can go for a hike on the Early Emigrant and Indian Trail. What a place this is for outdoors people. If you need a site to stay Evergreen Lodge Yosemite is a perfect choice, and don't leave Buck Lake without first going for a hike along the Ten Lakes Trail. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Buck Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Baker Campground is  
               a great spot for that, and after a long day outdoors Pinecrest Chalet is a good location to spend a night or two.
Not much precipitation falls here at Buck Lake; the month with most of the rain is January; the driest month of the year is July. Buck Lake is a beautiful lake in the Central Sierra Nevada. Life's too short to enjoy all the fun things in the Central Sierra Nevada. Stay the night at Deadman Campground, and there are delightful places to look at along the Silver King Trail.
Throughout the summer months here at Buck Lake, high temperatures generally reach the 80's, and the nighttime is fairly colder of course, regularly in the 50's. During the winter highs are commonly in the 40's, and overnight lows at Buck Lake through the winter commonly sink into the 20's.
